Hayley & Richard’s Big Bear Elopement!
Not even a pandemic could stop these two. Hayley & Richard’s original wedding date in March was pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine rules to the late Spring of 2021. However, the virus was no match for their love and commitment to love one another. Not willing to wait until then, they eloped to Big Bear last week, surrounded by the beauty of the high mountains and a small group of loved ones. The warm afternoon by the lake had so much smiling & laughing! They were constantly joking and making each other laugh before, during and after their first look – they really are each other’s best friend. (As it should be!) The ceremony featured a handfasting unity with 7 ribbons wrapped around their arms and then tied in a knot with a cheer from the guests. After the family photos, and the guests heading out, we wandered around and captured some more images as the light began to fade. That’s when it hits, you hear the word “Husband” or “Wife” for the first time and it’s… real. Like this is forever, and we’re married. It’s always a joy to see that when it happens!
