W hen it’s all said & done, the images of your wedding day will be what you have to look back and remember it by. It’s a big responsibility, to capture the love, the laughter, the happy tears, the silly looks and all the other feelings of the day in pictures. You’ll want images that are almost as large and colorful as your love – “epic realism” – that show everyone that sees them just how much you care for each other!
It’s far more than just pushing a button on the camera, it’s telling your love story in pictures. From the beginning of the day with the amazing outfits & tiny details, to the nervous energy of the first look, and onwards to the beautiful ceremony. Afterwards, the happiness of family & friends shared with you two, some romantic, touching images of you officially as a couple, and then headed to your reception. As the evening winds down, a few more quiet moments together to finish telling your wedding tale in pictures. Weddings are our life and we love it!
Alan has been photographing weddings throughout Southern California and the US for more than 15 years. He is creative, easy-going, and he’ll feel like a part of your family almost instantly. One of the biggest advantages of having him with you on your wedding day is his ability to be ready before the photo happens, to see the emotions form and capture the happiness of the day – from many different viewpoints.
He’ll be your guide to an amazing experience using beautiful lighting and the scenery to showcase your love. Warm, bright “golden hour” lighting is his favorite and blends perfectly with his light & open style. Alan will let you be you, and let the real moments happen with just a little sprinkling of creativity and direction to make a good picture great!
Our work begins far before your big day – we’re here to help you with our award-winning service, timeline planning assistance, and location ideas & scouting too. Many of our couples travel to Southern California for their wedding or elopement, never having been here before, and rely on our knowledge of the area’s landmarks, hidden gems and other secret locations to show off their love. We are on the preferred vendor list for many locations and are one of the few fully-permitted and authorized photographers for Joshua Tree National Park. We’ve also been fortunate to have won the WeddingWire Couples Choice Award and The Knot’s Best of Weddings award multiple times, demonstrating our passion, skill and service to our amazing couples!
Wherever and whenever you decide to celebrate your love, make sure the people who will be a part of that journey with the both of you are as invested in it as you are. That they are easy to work with and get ahold of, and that they love what they do!
We love what we get to do and are truly honored to be a part of your inner circle of wedding day happiness. Our task is to show the love, the uniqueness of you two, the details, the real emotions & the beautiful surroundings of your big day.

Well, our couples have described it as creative, candid and showing the true emotions of the wedding day. They use words like beautiful, vibrant & distinctive, others call it, natural & honest. Our favorite description is “epic realism”! Our couples love that their wedding photos will look exactly as they remember their day, ten or twenty years from now.
Absolutely! We believe everyone in love should have beautiful images of their wedding day – all are welcome.
We recommend starting an hour and a half prior to the ceremony time for the “getting-ready” images. Post-ceremony, an hour is recommended for the formal pictures of family, guests, wedding party and of the couple. Finally, we’d want to stay half an hour after the final event of the reception you want images of, usually cake cutting, or bouquet/garter toss.
So many to choose from in Southern California! One of our favorite locations is in the mountains near Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead or Idyllwild. For a large part of the year, it’s cool and beautiful there. Alan lived in Big Bear for 20 years and knows some out of the way, gorgeous spots for the two of you. Another spectacular spot is Joshua Tree National Park, with thousands of acres of other-worldly backgrounds, amazing sunsets and plenty of breathing room. Finally, it wouldn’t be California without beaches, right? From Santa Barbara to San Diego, we’ve explored and found the best locations for sunset ceremonies & photo shoots. Feel free to tell us about your special spot if it’s not on this list, we’re always eager to find beautiful, new locations.
You can do almost anything with them you want – you can email or print them or share on your own social media. You can create your own personal photo book or album, but you can’t sell the pictures to any publication, agency and/or website.
Yes, we have an easy to sign online contract that you’ll approve and sign that confirms the even details and provides pertinent information regarding the event.
A 33%, ($350 minimum) non-refundable reservation fee required to reserve services. Full amount of the reservation fee is applied towards your balance. Second payment due halfway between booking and event, final payment is due 3 weeks prior to event. Discounts for active duty military & first responders. Tax, travel & shipping fees where applicable. Prices effective 1/2020, subject to change and availability.
It depends on a few things – the length of the time we are there, the number of locations involved and the number of your guests, but you can expect about 50-75 images per hour of coverage, in most cases.
Since the reservation fee reserves your wedding date and time for you only, the initial deposit is always transferable. If you reschedule your wedding to a date and time that we are available, we will apply the deposit to the new agreement. If you cancel your wedding altogether, there is no balance due beyond the initial deposit.
Yes. Every image is adjusted with our blending of standard post-production techniques. This includes color-correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, sharpening, and other adjustments.
Higher level retouching (removing blemishes, flyaway hair, altering the size and shape of body parts or other objects within the photo, etc) is available for an additional fee if needed.
I offer discounts if either of you is Active Military or First Responders.
Social media and other photo-sharing sites are a great way to get inspiration for the feeling and mood of your wedding. When it comes to your photography though, you probably want something that captures the true spirit of your one, amazing day and that is completely unique to the two of you. You wedding isn’t a “cookie cutter” of someone else’s, your photos shouldn’t be either. We love collaborating with our couples to create amazing images that are one-of-a-kind, just like their love is. Bring your imagination & excitement and trust in our creativity to make it happen!
Yes. Many venues require photographers to have Liability Insurance and we carry $2 million in coverage.
We are booked for your big day once you both sign the paperwork and pay the reservation fee. Everything is done online safely & securely. Our availability changes daily so we cannot hold a date without the reservation fee & paperwork. Most credit & ATM cards are accepted.
